Vor zwei Jahren präsentierten The Dream Syndicate ihr Comebackalbum »How Did I Find Myself Here« nach sage und schreibe 29 Jahren.
Diesmal ging es zum Glück deutlich schneller: Hier ist ihr neues, mittlerweile sechstes Album »These Times«.
Zehn Songs haben die Alternative-Rocker dafür augenommen, und zwar in den Virginia’s Montrose Studios mit Produzent John Agnello. Bandchef Steve Wynn schrieb die gesamten Texte des neuen Albums im Studio, nachdem die Band die Songs vollständig eingespielt hatte.
Einen ersten Vorgeschmack auf »These Times« lieferte die Band vorab mit der Leadsingle »Black Light«.
Und die zeigt: 38 Jahre nach ihrer Gründung und 30 Jahre nach ihrer Auflösung drehen The Dream Syndicate 2019 noch einmal richtig auf und liefern verträumt-sphärischen Neo-Psychedelica par excellence. »These Times« heißt der Beweis.
