Ruby Boots alias Bex Chilcott verließ im zarten Alter von 14 Jahren bereits ihr Elternhaus in Perth, Australien und lebte für einige Zeit ein Nomadenleben. Mittlerweile ist sie in Nashville, TN gestrandet und veröffentlicht nun ihr zweites Album »Don't Talk About It« auf dem in Chicago ansässigen Bloodshot Label.
2016 traf sie auf The Texas Gentlemen und den Produzenten Beau Bedford, mit dem sie das neue Album einspielte. Musikalisch liegt ihr Sound zwischen UK Power Pop, 70er Southern Rock, Glam und Indie-Pop.
Fans von Lucinda Williams, Tom Petty und Hope Sandoval sollten Ruby Boots nicht verpassen. Ruby Boots tourte vergangenes Jahr mit Nikki Lane durch Europa.
