Death Cab For Cutie ist eine fünfköpfige, US-amerikanische Indie-Rock-Band, die seit 1997 aktiv ist.
Ihr Majorlabel-Debüt bestritten sie 2005 mit ihrem Album »Plans« (inkl. der Singles »I Will Follow You Into The Dark« und »Soul Meets Body«), das für einen Grammy in der Kategorie »Best Alternative Album of 2006« nominiert wurde.
Insgesamt erhielt die Band im Laufe ihrer Karriere acht Grammynominierungen und verzeichnet weltweit über eine Silber-, 6 Gold- und eine Platinauszeichnung.
Ihr neues Album »Thank You For Today« wurde im August des letzten Jahres veröffentlicht.
