Die Vaccines sind eine Band, die es einem wirklich verdammt schwer macht, sie nicht zur neuen persönlichen Lieblingsband zu machen. Die Songs der Londoner sind catchy, kurz und verfügen über liebenswerte Songtitel wie "Post Break-Up Sex" und "Norgaard" und "Wetsuit". Rekordverdächtig ist dabei u. a. die Länge der ersten Vorabsingle "Wreckin' Bar (Ra Ra Ra)", die mit einer hochökonomischen Spielzeit von gerade einmal 1: 22 Minuten auskommt. Aber keine Angst: Auf dem elf Songs umfassenden Debütalbum "What Did You Expect From The Vaccines?", das im Herbst 2010 in den RAK & Miloco Hoxton Square Studios unter der Regie von Dan Grech (Sound of Arrows, The Kooks, Radiohead, Tom Jones, Dragonette etc.) entstand, finden sich auch eine ganze Reihe handelsüblicher Vier- und Fünfminüter.
