TOOOO MUCH BASS!!!!

I've now tried it on 4 different systems (tables, amps, carts, speakers, all different) and pretty much all I get is a massive amount of bass. The vocals work well, mostly, but the rhythm guitar work is all but hidden behind the huge wall of bass, that seems mostly to come from the drums, but is really just everywhere. Even a low volume you'd have to live in the middle of nowhere with no neighbours or risk arrest. I think they must have decided on a 'let's just feel the music' remastering. Or maybe it's for people who are damaged or know no better. By comparison, I also just bought Yello's remastered 'Stella', and it is beautifully done. Yes, there's a lot bass in there, but it 'in there' with the rest of the music. Having only read good reviews of Siamese Dream on-line, I can only presume that I'm jut too old to understand, and will be putting my copy away for future generations to deal with. A shame really :-(

Befreiung pur!

Lautsprechern. Die Band befreit sich vom Schlamm der zurückliegenden Jahre. Brutal zitternde, angezehrte Gitarren mit wuchtigem Bass und Schlagzeug sollen dem Hörer klar machen was gemeint ist. Eine neue Richtung wird vorgeschrieben und vorangetrieben. Elektrisch und laut muss und wird es sein und jeden in den Bann ziehen. Jeder der diese Scheibe auflegt und hört bekommt die Verwandlung der Gruppe mit. Ruhige Töne kommen nur vereinzelt vor und sind nicht zum beruhigen da... nur kurz frische Luft holen und dann geht es radikal kraftvoll weiter. Die Emotionen, die Gedanken... der Hörer muss alles mit ertragen und kann sich auch nicht davon lösen. Ein wunderschöner Beweis ist diese Do.-LP, wie Musik den Hörer beeinflussen kann, ihn entführen kann in eine andere Welt, sich vorstellen lässt, wie die Musiker sich bei dieser Produktion gefühlt haben müssen. Und bei diesen ganzen Gefühlen und Drohungen sind auch noch die besten Songs der Band entstanden. Hochachtung und ein klares Muss für jede Schallplattensammlung. Dieser Doppeldecker gehört einfach zu den 100 besten LPs einer jeden guten Auflistung.
