Nick Cave formed the bad Seeds following the end of his previous band Birthday Party. The Bad Seeds brought together former Birthday Party guitarist Mick Harvey (drums), ex-Magazine bassist Barry Adamson, and Einstürzende Neubauten guitarist Blixa Bargeld.
No More Shall We Part
The first studio album to be released for 4 years, no more shall we part offered up more of the reflective genius of the beautifully written songs on the boatmans call. No more the rock music of earlier NC&TBS releases. Gone is the arrogant swagger of the early albums, replaced instead by poignant melancholy, intimate accompaniments and bittersweet sophistication. The ethereal title track ‘leaves listeners in awe, full of complex emotions, and pondering the notion that they've been in the presence of great redemptive art’.
