Fourplay ist das Debütalbum des zeitgenössischen Jazz-Quartetts Fourplay, das 1991 veröffentlicht wurde. Das Album hat sich in den Vereinigten Staaten über 1.000.000 Mal verkauft und wurde daher mit Platin ausgezeichnet. Das Album hielt sich 33 Wochen lang auf Platz 1 der Billboard Contemporary Jazz Charts. Fourplay ist das Super-Quartett bestehend aus Keyboarder Bob James, Gitarrist Lee Ritenour, Bassist Nathan East und Schlagzeuger Harvey Mason. Der Stil des Quartetts ist eine gefühlvolle Mischung aus Jazz, R&B und Pop, wobei der Schwerpunkt auf Eigenkompositionen der einzelnen Bandmitglieder liegt. El DeBarge leiht dem Marvin Gaye-Klassiker "After The Dance" seine verführerische Stimme und rundet damit dieses musikalische Meisterwerk ab.
