Donald Byrds Album "Places And Spaces" von 1975 mit den Hits "Wind Parade" und "Dominoes" war der Höhepunkt der Fusion-Periode des großen Trompeters.
Es war das fünfte Byrd-Album in Folge, das von dem visionären Produzenten Larry Mizell produziert wurde, und die vorletzte Session, die Byrd für Blue Note aufnahm, das Label, für das er seit 1958 aufgenommen hatte und das ihn auf seinem bemerkenswerten Weg vom erstklassigen Hard-Bop-Trompeter zum Pionier der R&B/Funk-Fusion begleitet hatte.
Diese Blue Note Classic Vinyl Edition wurde von Kevin Gray von den Original-Masterbändern gemastert und auf 180g Vinyl bei Optimal gepresst.
