Als Hank Mobley 1963 dieses Album veröffentlichte hatten ihn viele Kritiker schon als am Ende seiner Kreativität abgeschrieben. Zu sanft und beschwingt spielte er im Vergleich zu anderen Größen am Tenor-Saxophon und war somit in die gedankliche Schublade des Easy Listening geraten. Der Titel dieses Album könnte man mit "kein Platz für Schubladendenken" übersetzen, denn Mobley spielt härter und schneller als zuvor und gerade seine Zusammenarbeit mit John Coltrane macht sich bemerkbar. Mobley spielt hier den Hard Bob, den man ihm gar nicht zugetraut hatte und arbeitet mit gleich doppelter Besetzung für die unterschiedlichen Aufnahmesessions. Das erste Quintet besteht neben Hank Mobley am Tenor-Saxophon noch aus Lee Morgan an der Trompete, Andrew Hill am Piano. Beim zweiten Quintet sind es hingegen Donaly Byrd und Herbie Hancock an diesen Instrumenten. Als Bassisten stehen John Ore und Butch Warren zu Verfügung und in beiden Fällen ist Philly Joe Jones am Schlagzeug zu finden.
