The SACD uses a higher digital resolution than the audio CD and also offers the possibility to store multi-channel sound (surround sound). To enjoy the music in high-end quality, a special SACD player is required. Thanks to the hybrid function, most of the products marked "SACD" in our store can also be played on conventional CD players. In this case, however, the sound does not differ from that of a normal CD. In case of deviations, we point this out separately (non-hybrid).

Lieder, die davon Zeugnis ablegen, wie Shakespeares Werk durch die Jahrhunderte mit seinem Reichtum fasziniert(e) und zur musikalischen Umsetzung anregt(e). Die Lieder sind in Form eines fünfaktigen Theaterstücks organisiert. Neben bekannten Liedern (Schubert) finden sich auch musikalische Umsetzungen desselben Texts durch verschiedene Komponisten. Ein spannender Vergleich.

Carolyn Sampson und Roderick Williams harmonieren perfekt und intelligent, Joseph Middleton ist ein Muster an Präzision und feiner Sensibilität. Das Trio findet für jede Epoche und jede dramatische Situation die richtige Farbe. Balladeske Aktion und lyrische Emphase sind in perfekter Ausgewogenheit. Jede Silbe und jede Tongeste erfährt Aufmerksamkeit, aber keine Übertreibung. Die Diktion ist glasklar.
