»Lucio Silla« gilt als die erste große Oper Wolfgang Amadeus Mozarts, und es beeindruckt bis heute die Reife und Perfektion des damals gerade einmal 17-jährigen Komponisten. Starsopranistin Patricia Petibon als Gunia setzt in dieser 2017 im Teatro Real in Madrird mitgeschnittenen Inszenierung eindrucksvolle Akzente. Selten hat man den Konflikt zwischen Lucio Silla (Kurt Streit) und Gunia dramatischer erlebt als in dieser faszinierenden Inszenierung von Claus Guth. Im Orchestergraben sorgt Ivor Bolton für historisch informierte Musizierpraxis.
