Unter dem Titel »Journey to Aldeburgh« erkundet Chamber Domaine Werke, die während Brittens Studienzeit am Londoner Royal College of Music entstanden. Den Höhepunkt bildet die Suite für Violine und Klavier op. 6 sowie Brittens Bearbeitung für das erste Aldeburgh Festival »There is a Willow Grows Aslant a Brook«, die von seinem Lehrer Frank Bridge komponiert wurde und hier erstmals auf CD zu hören ist. Weitere Uraufführungen umfassen die umfangreiche »Introduction and Allegro« für Klaviertrio, »The Moon« für Violine und Klavier sowie ein »Allegro« für Klavier solo.
Brittens Opus 1, die Sinfonietta – hier in ihrer selten gespielten Originalfassung zu hören – rundet das Programm ab und bietet einen Einblick in das weniger bekannte frühe, oft englisch-pastorale Schaffen dieses gefeierten Komponisten.
