Adrian Chandler wurde 1974 auf Merseyside geboren und studierte sowohl moderne als auch Barockvioline am Royal College of Music bei Rodney Friend und Catherine Mackintosh. Noch während seines Studiums am RCM gründete er das historische Ensemble La Serenissima, mit dem er seitdem zahlreiche Solokonzerte und Vivaldi-Konzerte bei großen Festivals auf der ganzen Welt aufführte.

Seine Auftritte wurden auch von BBC Radio 3, Radio Scotland, Dutch Radio, Radio 3 Belgium, Radio France, Danish Radio, Classic FM und dem japanischen Fernsehen ausgestrahlt. Adrian erhielt ein dreijähriges Stipendium des AHRC (Arts and Humanities Research Council) an der Universität Southampton, um die Entwicklung des norditalienischen Violinkonzerts zwischen 1690 und 1740 zu erforschen. Der Höhepunkt dieses Projekts ist die Veröffentlichung dieser CD, der dritten davon die norditalienische Violinkonzertreihe.
