Blu-Rays can therefore store movies with significantly better resolution and offer enormously high picture quality on corresponding screens. Blu-Ray players are usually backward compatible with DVDs, so that they can also be played.

Für die vorliegende Produktion von Berlioz’ Oper über Benvenuto Cellini, deren Aufnahme im August 2007 bei den Salzburger Festspielen entstand, hat Bühnenbildner Philipp Stölzl einen Mix ersonnen aus „Futurismus à la Metropolis, Fantasy à la Batman und Zitaten aus Piranesis Carceri (für Cellinis Werkstatt), in Form von Fotomontagen übereinander geblendet, angereichert mit Objekten wie Robotern als Begleiter Teresas, einem Helikopter für Cellini, einem Haifisch, dessen Maul als Theaterbühne dient, und dem geflügelten Auto des als Popstar auftretenden Papstes“(NZZ)
Das hochkarätige Cast wurde von Burkhard Fritz als temperamentvoller Renaissance-Künstler Cellini und der erst 26-jährigen lettischen Sopranistin Maija Kovalevskaals Teresa angeführt. Dirigent Valery Gergiev „zog alle Register.“(Der Standard)
