Blu-Rays can therefore store movies with significantly better resolution and offer enormously high picture quality on corresponding screens. Blu-Ray players are usually backward compatible with DVDs, so that they can also be played.

Verdis Oper „Alzira“ nach einem Ideendrama Voltaires von 1736 wurde am 12. August 1845 am Teatro San Carlo in Neapel erstmals aufgeführt. Trotz des mit großer Sorgfalt gestalteten Werkes, vielen raffinierten musikalischen Ideen und einer großen emotionalen Tiefe gehört „Alzira“ heute zu den am seltensten gespielten Verdi-Partituren.
Für das gesamte 19. Jahrhundert können weltweit nur 14 Produktionen nachgewiesen werden, und die deutsche Erstaufführung fand erst am 14. März 1998 im Stadttheater Passau statt.
Die hier vorliegende konzertante Aufführung wurde im Jahr 2012 beim Alto Adige Festival in Dobbiaco aufgezeichnet.
Gustav Kuhn leitet das Orchestra Haydn die Bolzano e Trento sowie den Istituto Corale es Orchestrale di Dobbiaco. Die Titelrolle singt Junko Saito.
