Händel with care

Eleganter, klanglich strahlender, süffig aufgenommener Old-School-Händel. I Musici sind in dieser älteren Philips-Aufnahme, von Newton wiederveröffentlicht, meilenweit von der Kontrastschärfe moderner Ensembles wie z.B. Il Giardino Armonico entfernt, setzen den Akzent auf Streicherschönheit und Fluss. Das muss beim Hören kein Nachteil sein, und Zeremonien-Meister Händel verträgt bekanntlich ein wenig Goldglanz besser als viele andere Barockkomponisten. Die Werke selbst, nach Corellis Vorbild op. 6 entstanden und diesen im Abwechslungsreichtum wohl übertrumpfend, sind das passende Seitenstück zur immergrünen Wasser- und Feuerwerksmusik, die natürlich mehr Spektakel bietet.
