A must have in your collection

This set of 8 CDs (duration of each of them is about 50 minutes) contains music pieces recorded by Hesperion XX (Jordi Savall, Montserrat Figueras, Hopkinson Smith, Christophe Coin et al.) between 1977 and 1983. It is impressive to discover such a quality of recording (sound is very detailed, no audible noise). The program of each CD is coherent and varied.
The 6th CD dedicated to the instrumental works of Antonio de Cabezon justifies to buy the set.
The booklet details all performances and titles but we are far from the quality of what Alia Vox offers now to Savall's fans... for a full price.

Top value for price!

The 8 CD box is really of high quality. The recordings are of excellent quality. These are not "second order" Moreover, the set is consistent and provides a good variety of styles. A must have in your collection.
