»Wings Greatest« ist das elfte Album des Musikers nach seiner Zeit bei den Beatles, außerdem der achte Longplayer seiner Band Wings.
Der Albumtitel verrät: Es handelt sich dabei um eine Best-of-Zusammenstelllungen mit Hits wie »Silly Love Songs« oder dem James-Bond-Titelsong »Live And Let Die«. Außerdem schafften es mit »Another Day«, »Junior’s Farm, »Hi, Hi, Hi« und »Mull of Kintyre« vier Songs auf die Platte, die zuvor nie auf einem McCartney-Album waren. Die Kompilation erreichte in Großbritannien Platz fünf der Albumcharts.
