Politisch, persönlich, hoffnungsvoll: das neue Album von Erasure
In den 30 Jahren ihrer bisherigen Karriere haben Vince Clarke und Andy Bell alias Erasure längst Kultstatus erreicht. Das bedeutet jedoch nicht, dass sich das britische Synthie-Pop-Duo 2017 auf seinen Erfolgen ausruht. Im Gegenteil: Mit »World Be Gone« präsentieren sie jetzt ihr neues, mittlerweile 17. Studioalbum.
Zehn Songs warten auf dem Nachfolger von »The Violet Flame«, das 2014 erschienen war. Inhaltlich beschäftigen sich Erasure darin vor allem mit aktuellen politischen Themen, die auf »World Be Gone« aber weniger hoffnungslos erscheinen, als der Titel ankündigt. Persönliche Themen wie die Liebe kommen ebenfalls nicht zu kurz, wie die erste Singleauskopplung »Love You To The Sky« beweist.
Geschrieben haben Erasure alle Songs für ihr neues Album selbst. Für den Mix der Platte zeichnete Toningenieur Matty Green verantwortlich.
Aktualitätsbezogen aber hoffnungsvoll und melodieverliebt wie immer: Erasures neues Album »World Be Gone«.
