Das A-Cappella-Quintett begeistert mit einem fröhlichen Mix aus Pygmäen-Musik, menschlichen Beats, afrikanischen und arabischen Pop-Melodien, zairischem Raggamuffin, afro-kubanischen Rhythmen sowie Soul und Gospel. Das zweite Album von Zap Mama erschien erstmalig 1994 und präsentiert Marie Daulne, Cécilia Kankonda, Céline t’Hooft, Sabine Kabongo und Sylvie Nawasadio mit einem aufpolierten, modernen Sound, in dem sich dennoch viele traditionelle Anleihen aus Marokko, Indien und sogar Australien wiederfinden.
