WEDGE wurden im Frühjahr 2014 von Kiryk (Gesang/Gitarre), The Holg (Schlagzeug) und David (Bass/Orgel/E-Piano), drei ernsthaften Musiker und Partyfreunden aus Berlin, gegründet. Benannt nach dem ersten steinernen Werkzeug, das der Mensch jemals erschuf ist der Sound der Band einfach, roh, effektiv und setzt alles in Brand, wenn er nur richtig eingesetzt wird - vor allem live! Doch neben der einfachen Tatsache, dass WEDGE eine Rock'n'Roll Maschine sind, sind sie ebenso in der Lage, ungeheuer eingängiges Material zu schreiben, das - anders als bei vielen Bands des Genres - durchaus in der Lage ist, mit der Musik ihrer Helden aus den psychedelischen sechziger Jahren und den hardrockenden siebziger Jahren mitzuhalten. Wedge was formed in early 2014 by Kiryk (vocals & guitar), The Holg (drums) & David (bass, organ & electric piano), three dedicated musicians and party pals from Berlin, Germany. Named after the first ever stone tool created by the hand of man the group's sound is simple, raw, effective and causes fire if operated the right way ...especially live! But besides being a high energy rock’n’roll locomotive, Wedge is also capable of writing very catchy original material which, other than with many other bands of that genre, easily meets the standards of their heroes from the psychedelic late 60s & hard rockin early 70s.
