Selbst ausgewiesene Kenner anspruchsvoller Rockmusik mussten lange passen, wenn man auf Dänemark zu sprechen kam und sie nach nennenswerten, dort ansässigen Interpreten fragte. Seit zwei Jahren hat sich das geändert. Damals bewiesen die Talentscouts der niederländischen Mascot Label Group ihr feines Näschen, als sie der Band VOLA einen Plattenvertrag vermittelten. Damit sorgten sie dafür, dass die Musiker aus Kopenhagen ihr zunächst im Eigenvertrieb und lediglich digital veröffentlichtes Debütalbum »Inmazes« international und auch auf physischen Tonträgern einem breiten Publikum zugänglich machen konnten.
Mit seinem innovativen Mix aus Electronica, Industrial, Metal und Progressive Rock hat »Inmazes« nach allgemeinem Dafürhalten eine kräftige Prise frischen Wind in die teils festgefahrene Szene geblasen. So beschrieb das britische Prog-Magazin VOLAs Klangbild beeindruckt als »widescreen heavy stadium Prog«. Wie das Ganze sich fortsetzt, kristallisiert sich jetzt auf dem »Inmazes«-Nachfolger heraus.
