The Blu-Ray was developed as a high-definition successor to the DVD and offers a significantly increased data rate and storage capacity compared to its predecessor. Blu-Rays can therefore store movies with significantly better resolution and offer enormously high picture quality on corresponding screens. Blu-Ray players are usually backward compatible with DVDs, so that they can also be played.

Aufgenommen in Köln und Tilburg auf der Kaleidoscope-Tour im März 2014.
Auf »KaLIVEoscope« lädt die Formation, bestehend aus den Prog-Legenden Neal Morse, Roine Stolt, Pete Trewavas und Mike Portnoy sowie Gastmusiker Ted Leonard, ein zu einer Neuentdeckung des aktuellen Materials, erlaubt Blicke hinter die Kulissen und begeistert erneut sämtliche Prog-Gourmets.

Sowohl die Video- als auch Audioaufnahmen fanden in der Mitte der Tour statt, da die Band sich in absoluter Topform präsentieren wollte. Neben eigenen Stücken bietet »KaLIVEoscope« auch herausragende Versionen von »Nights In White Satin« (Moody Blues) und »Sylvia« bzw. »Hocus Pocus« von der holländischen Prog-Band Focus (mit Sänger Thijs van Leer als prominentem Gast).
