Live And Dangerous ist ein Zusammenschnitt von Konzerten der Band um den 1986 verstorbenen Sänger und Bassisten Phil Lynott aus London und Toronto. Die Band tourte damals mit den Alben Johnny the Fox und Bad Reputation. Eigentlich hatten ja Thin Lizzy geplant, gemeinsam mit Produzentenlegende Tony Visconti (der bereits Bad Reputation) produziert hatte, ein Studioalbum aufzunehmen. Dies scheiterte aber an Viscontis vollem Terminkalender — und so schlug Lynott vor, gemeinsam ein Live-Album zu erarbeiten. Zwei Wochen dauerten das ganze— und das Ergebnis schrieb Geschichte.
