The Wilde Flowers have assumed an almost mythical status simply because of the musicians that passed through them. This CD is the very first commercially available record of their early sessions. The booklet is packed with photos, cuttings and extensive sleeve notes from the band.
THE WILDE FLOWERS were in many ways the beginning of what was to become known as “The Canterbury Scene”.
They were active in the mid sixties but never released any albums, and evolved into two of the most well known and influential bands of the era THE SOFT MACHINE and CARAVAN.
In and out of THE WILDE FLOWERS were KEVEIN AYRES, ROBERT WYATT, RICHARD SINCLAIR and PYE HASTINGS amongst others.
This collection of previously unreleased material has been unavailable for some time, but we are delighted to present to you this essential collection. (gonzomultimedia. co. uk)
