50 Jahre später
Ein halbes Jahrhundert hat es gedauert, aber 2018 präsentiert Universal Music endlich »The Who: Live At The Fillmore East 1968«.
Es handelt sich dabei um eine Reihe von unveröffentlichten Aufnahmen aus der zweiten von zwei Nächten, die die Rocklegenden in Bill Grahams legendärem, aber kurzlebigem Club auf der Lower East Side von Manhattan spielten.
Der Manager von The Who, Kit Lambert, hatte beide Shows aufgenommen. Die Mitschnitte wurden jedoch niemals veröffentlicht. 50 Jahre später hat Tontechniker Bob Pridden (der 1968 ebenfalls dort war) die Songs aus der Show vom 6. April für diese neue Veröffentlichung restauriert und neu gemischt.
Das Ergebnis ist ein beeindruckendes Konzertalbum mit vielen Highlights: Hier ist »The Who: Live At The Fillmore East 1968«.
