Mercury Studios veröffentlicht »Welcome To Shepherd's Bush« von den Rolling Stones in einer Vielzahl von Formaten, darunter zum ersten Mal 4K UHD auf einem Video der Rolling Stones.

Diese Show wurde 1999 im Shepherd's Bush in London gefilmt, nur wenige Tage vor zwei ausverkauften Konzerten im Wembley-Stadion. Diese intime Show enthält eine Reihe von tieferen Ausschnitten aus dem Katalog der Band, einschließlich der ersten und einzigen Aufführung von »Moon Is Up« (ursprünglich auf dem Album »Voodoo Lounge« veröffentlicht) und einer ebenfalls sehr seltenen Performance von »Melody«. Weitere Raritäten sind »I Got The Blues« und »Brand New Car«.

Betr.: 2 CDs/1 Blu-ray Disc-Ausgabe in ganz schlechter Verpackung

Das benutzerunfreundliche 8-panel Digisleeve ist wirklich das Übelste, was mir an CD-Verpackungen bisher unter gekommen ist. Absolut unpraktisch in der Handhabung, um die Discs aus der Pappe herauszubekommen. Ich bin mir sicher: Die Mehrheit der Noch-CD-Käufer wünscht sich nicht solchen Müll als Verpackung.

Ich sag mal so. Ob ich diese Stones Scheibe nun habe oder nicht, es ist kein Verlust. Es gibt da deutlich Besseres. Man fragt sich ohnehin was diese Nachveröffentlichungen sollen. Gut , der Sammler sammelt und lässt sich verführen aber das muss nicht sein. Leute, wenn überhaupt dann kauft die Live Scheibe El Macambo..Daran werdet ihr Freude haben. Die Stones hautnah und das Maß aller Dinge bleibt Get your Yer ya ya´s out.aus 1969.

Die Meinung anderer spielt absolut keine Rolle für einen selbst.
Mir gefallen die hier angesprochenen Konzerte alle. Interessiert aber niemanden. Dennoch habe ich meine Freude daran. Danke.

Ein weiteres Schmuckstück

Hurra, endlich bringen sie dieses Konzert raus! Wir haben lange darauf warten müssen, aber jetzt ist es da. Die Platten haben, im Gegensatz zur europäischen CD, einen ausgewogenen und warmen Sound. Sie sind eben gepresst, glänzen und spielen super. Die Songs würde ich von sensationell (Jumpin' Jack Flash, Brown Sugar, Some Girls) bis lustig (Melody, Moon is up) einstufen. in der "experimentellen Phase" nach den 3 Anfangssongs ist es schon spaßig zu hören, wie sie sich an raren Stücken versuchen. Aber insgesamt einfach ein super Clubgig, auch weil Keith in der Zeit eine geile Gitarre spielt und seine beiden Gesangsstücke sehr gut rüberbringt. Dem CD Hörer würde ich die Shm-CD empfehlen, die wieder mal um Klassen besser klingt, als die normale CD.

Stones

Ich bin Fan der ersten Stunden der Band und werde es auch bleiben nur alles hat seine Grenzen. Ich besitze inzwischen 2 Meter Stones im Regal und kaufe , wenn es was Neues gibt. Nun ist neu hier nicht angebracht . Ein Konzert aus 1999 . Gut und schön. Sie spielen ein paar Sachen, die sie normalerweise nicht spielen, dennoch braucht man diese Scheibe nicht wirklich. Ich empfehle aber die Livescheibe EL Mocambo 1977. Letztendlich ist bleibt es Geschmackssache.

Absolut richtig. Ob man die Scheibe braucht oder nicht ist Geschmacksache und jedem selbst überlassen. Was Sie tun, interessiert hier auch niemanden. Eine Rezension hat mehr Wert, als Ihre Meinung über Ihren Geschmack.

Platte auf Seite A sieht aus wie über den Boden gezogen

Leider wieder mal bei Rollings Stones wird nicht auf die Qualität geachtet. Platte läuft super durch,Musik und Sound top. Aber die Seite a sieht aus wie über den Boden gezogen. Habe schon zwei andere einmal beziehungsweise zwei mal umgetauscht,,Das macht keinen Spaß, ich kaufe gebrauchte Platten die sind teilweise Richtung 60 Jahre alt,und sehen besser aus.
