Ein weiteres Highlight für Rolling-Stones-Fan: Die britischen Rocklegenden veröffentlichten 2020 den bislang unveröffentlichten Konzertmitschnitt »Steel Wheels Live (Atlantic City)« aus dem Jahr 1989, und zwar in verschiedenen Audio- und Videoformaten und Limited Editions.
Neben den Stones standen auch ein paar hochkarätige Gäste mit auf der Bühne. Gemeinsam performten sie Hits, Klassiker und Songs vom damals aktuellen Album »Steel Wheels«.

»Steel Wheels Live« wurde gegen Ende des 60-Tage-Laufs der Band durch die Stadien Nordamerikas in der zweiten Hälfte des Jahres 1989 aufgenommen. Der Ticketverkauf war eine Sache, aber das Bühnen- und Lichtdesign der »Steel Wheels Tour« gab den Takt für Superstar-Touren vor, wie wir sie heute kennen.
Besondere Gastauftritte von Axl Rose, Izzy Stradlin, Eric Clapton und John Lee Hooker an diesem Datum in Atlantic City machen dies zu einem noch außergewöhnlicheren Dokument der Rückkehr der Band zum Touring.
