The Pretty Things waren eine der langlebigsten englischen Rockbands. Mitte der 1960er Jahre galt sie mit ihrer harten Musik und einem finsteren Image als eine der auffälligsten Bands ihrer Zeit. Rockgeschichte schrieben The Pretty Things auch 1968 - als Urheber der vermutlich ersten Rockoper S. F. Sorrow. Kürzlich verstarb Gründungsmitglied und Sänger Phil May (RIP!).
