DVDMost of the offered DVDs have the region code 2 for Europe and the PAL picture format. However, we also offer releases from the USA, which come on the market in NTSC format and with the country code 1. This is then indicated in our item details.
Blu-Ray DiscThe Blu-Ray was developed as a high-definition successor to the DVD and offers a significantly increased data rate and storage capacity compared to its predecessor. Blu-Rays can therefore store movies with significantly better resolution and offer enormously high picture quality on corresponding screens. Blu-Ray players are usually backward compatible with DVDs, so that they can also be played.

Zwei Jahre nach ihrem von der Kritik gelobten Album »Your Wilderness«, stehen The Pineaplle Thief 2018 bereits mit dem Nachfolger in den Startlöchern. »Dissolution« heißt das mittlerweile 13. Studiowerk der britischen Alternativ- und Progressive-Rocker.
Neun Songs haben Bruce Soord und Co. dafür in den verschiedenen Studios der Bandmitglieder in Großbritannien aufgenommen. Dazu gehört auch wieder Drummer Gavin Harrison (King Crimson, Porcupine Tree), der erstmals von Anfang an am Albumprozess teilnahm.
Gut fünf Monate dauerten das intensive Songwriting und die Aufnahmen von »Dissolution«.
Das Resultat ist ein gewohnt vielschichtiges, melancholisches und atmosphärisches Gesamtwerk, das inhaltlich von den oft düsteren Folgen des Lebens in einer Gesellschaft berichtet, in der alles auf einer öffentlichen Bühne geschieht.
Wie das neue Album klingt, verrieten The Pineapple Thief bereits mit der Single »Far Below«.
Und die zeigt: The Pineapple Thief sind und bleiben eine der wichtigsten Prog-Rock-Combos unserer Zeit, »Dissolution« ist ein weiteres Highlight in ihrer Diskografie.
