Dieses 3-CD-Set mit 71 Tracks legt den Schwerpunkt auf das erste Jahrzehnt dieser Karriere mit Clyde McPhatter als Leadsänger, bevor dieser eine Solokarriere startete. Nach mehreren Wechseln übernahm schließlich Ben E. King in den späteren Jahren der hier behandelten Zeitspanne diese Position.
