Die Indie-Rock-Band The Apartments veröffentlichen ihr achtes Album »That's What The Music Is For«.
Peter Milton Walsh begann 2023 mit der Aufnahme von »That's What The Music Is For« gemeinsam mit Produzent Tim Kevin, wobei er die Songs nach und nach wie ein Pointillist entstehen ließ. Unterstützt wurde er dabei von Musikern wie Tim Kevin (Gitarre, Percussion, Piano, Melodica, Backing Vocals), Nick Kennedy (Schlagzeug, Maracas), Adrian Workman (Bass), Natasha Penot (Gesang), Jeff Crawley (Trompete), Neysa May Barnett (Gesang), Pauline Drand (Gitarre) und Xavier Guéant-Mata (Gitarre).
Das Album erzählt Geschichten über Zeit, Erinnerung und Abschiede und verbindet Elemente von Melancholie, Blechbläsern, Streichern und feinsinniger Komposition. Walshs Stücke laden dazu ein, eigene Deutungen der Erzählungen zu finden, und spiegeln so die Essenz großer Kunst wider. The Apartments werden im Frühjahr 2026 auf Europatour gehen.
