Da das Album seit einigen Jahren nicht mehr auf Vinyl erhältlich war, haben alte Fans und Neuentdecker die Chance, sich mit dem frühen, leidenschaftlichen Elan der drei schottischen Schulfreunde - Leadsänger/Gitarrist Ricky Warwick, Schlagzeuger Stumpy Monroe und Bassist Floyd London - zu beschäftigen. Zusammen mit dem Gitarristen Andy »Tantrum« McCafferty gründeten sie 1988 die Band The Almighty. Blood, Fire & Love wurde ursprünglich 1989 veröffentlicht, wobei der grellbunte Rocker »Destroyed«, der Highway Cruiser »Power« und der eindringliche, orchestrale Titeltrack The Almighty als britisches Hardrock-Kraftpaket auszeichneten.
