Das Album – das Simpson als »schmieriges, dampfendes Rock 'n' Roll-Album« bezeichnet – markiert für den gefeierten Sänger und Songwriter eine Abkehr vom gefeierten, mit einem »Best Country Album« Grammy ausgezeichneten Album »A Sailor's Guide To Earth« (2016).
