Bei Son Of Man sind Musiker von anderen legendären walisischen Bands aktiv: George Jones (Gitarre, Gesang), Bob Richards (Drums, Gesang), Glenn Quinn (Gitarre, Bass, Gesang) Richie Galloni (Gesang) und Marco James (Keyboards, Gesang). Bekannt ist die Truppe vor allem für ihre powervollen Livekonzerte.
Als »A State of Dystopia« bezeichnet man den fitkiven Zustand einer Gesellschaft, in der großes Leid oder große Ungerechtigkeit herrscht. Typischerweise ein totalitärer Staat. Das Album ist ein vielseitiger Mix an Original Songs zum Thema Leben und Liebe, Krieg, Frieden und Hoffnung.
Charakteristisch für Son Of Man sind der Gitarrensound und die melodischen Harmonien neben einer starken Rhythmusabteilung, angeheizt von Keyboard und einer der größten Rock Stimme der Gegenwart.
