Das vierte Rap-Juwel
Sie sind wieder da: El-P und Killer Mike alias Run The Jewels. Nach Teil eins, zwei und drei kommt 2020 endlich »RTJ4«.Zwei Jahre lang arbeitete das Duo intensiv an den neuen Songs. Elf haben es schließlich auf die Platte geschafft.
Für die Aufnahme von »RTJ4« ging es in Rick Rubins Shangri-La Studios in Malibu und die legendären Electric Lady Studios in New York City.
Neben Run The Jewels kamen dort auch einige hochkarätige Kollegen vorbei, um einen Teil zum Album beizutragen, darunter keine Geringeren als Zack de la Rocha (Rage Against The Machine), Josh Homme (Queens Of The Stone Age), Parrell Williams, Mavis Staples, 2 Chainz, DJ Premier und Greg Nice.
Die beiden letzteren sind in der Single »Ooh LA LA« mit von der Partie.
Ein perfekt eingespieltes Duo, eine heftige Gästeliste: Run The Jewels liefern mit »RTJ4« einen Kandidaten für das Hip-Hop-Album des Jahres.
