Der Gitarrist und Sänger Richard Dawson, der im Raum Newcastle Legendenstatus im Bereich des experimentellen Folk besitzt, liefert mit »Nothing Important« ein einerseits minimalistisches Album ab, das sich allein auf Stimme und Gitarre stützt, dabei andererseits aber Dawsons extravagant wuchtigem Ruf mehr als gerecht wird.
