As the successor to the Blu-ray Disc, the Ultra HD Blu-ray is an optical data storage device for movies in ultra-high definition format. The eponymous Ultra HD resolution is a maximum of 3840 × 2160 pixels. In contrast to its predecessor, it also supports a higher contrast range, a higher refresh rate and a larger color space. Normal Blu-ray players cannot play the new media. Ultra HD Blu-ray-capable devices are usually backward compatible.

Queens »Rock Montreal« ist einer der legendärsten Konzertmitschnitte von Queen, aufgenommen 1981 vor 18.000 Zuschauern an zwei Abenden. 1979 und 1980 bedeuteten ihre ersten Nummer 1-Singles in den USA und Kanada den endgültigen Durchbruch in Nordamerika. Zur gleichen Zeit führten Queen die britischen Single-, Album- und Videocharts an - das hatte es zuvor noch nie gegeben!
Für diese neue Version von »Queen Rock Montreal« wurden die alten Aufnahmen aufwendig restauriert, um die bestmögliche Qualität zu gewährleisten.
Die Blu-ray- und 4K-Versionen enthalten jeweils auf der ersten Disc "Rock Montreal" im Vollbildformat, erstmals in hochskaliertem HD mit Dolby Atmos-Ton. Die zweite Disc enthält das Konzert in Montreal im Breitbildformat und ein Featurette mit einem Blick hinter die Kulissen, das Queen bei den Proben für "Live Aid" zeigt, unterbrochen von einem Interview mit der Band, das kurz vor "Live Aid" aufgenommen wurde.
Die Auftritte von "Rock Montreal" und Live Aid werden in LPCM Stereo, DTS-HD Master Audio und erstmals auch in Dolby Atmos präsentiert. "Rock Montreal" enthält außerdem einen Kommentar von Brian May und Roger Taylor.
