As the successor to the Blu-ray Disc, the Ultra HD Blu-ray is an optical data storage device for movies in ultra-high definition format. The eponymous Ultra HD resolution is a maximum of 3840 × 2160 pixels. In contrast to its predecessor, it also supports a higher contrast range, a higher refresh rate and a larger color space. Normal Blu-ray players cannot play the new media. Ultra HD Blu-ray-capable devices are usually backward compatible.

Der Film spielt in den eindringlich schönen Ruinen des antiken römischen Amphitheaters in Pompeji, Italien, und zeigt Pink Floyd bei einem intimen Konzert mit zusätzlichen seltenen Behind-The-Scenes-Aufnahmen, in denen die Band mit der Arbeit an The Dark Side of the Moon in den Abbey Road Studios beginnt.

Warum?

Für jeden Pink Floyd Liebhaber ein muss.
Wir waren 2025 auch mal am Ort, es ist schon beeindruckend. Aber warum ist so viel Dreck oder was auch immer da auf
dem Vinyl, was ein dermaßen knacken auf der Platte verursacht. Wo ist der Anspruch auf Qualität geblieben. Ich dachte Vinyl ist was besonderes, und keine Massenware.
Echt Schade……

Nein , das ist Standard

Nein, bei neuen Pink Floyd Scheiben sind grobe Vinylrückstände, nicht zentrisches Loch, Höhenschläge, Kratzer, Plops, usw. leider der absolute Normalfall. Ich habe z. B. die The Wall als Neupressung bei einem anderen Versand 5 mal zurückgeschickt, bis ich ein halbwegs knisterfreies Exemplar hatte. Eine Kundenverar?€&@ hoch zehn.

Tolles Album

Mir gefällt das Album sehr gut. Aber ich bin auch Pink Floyd Fan.
Die Qualität des Vinyls ist okay, aber nicht mit 180g Pressungen zu vergleichen.
Lieferung und Verpackung waren sehr gut.
Von mir gibt es eine Kaufempfehlung.

Bluray leider fehlerhaft

Leider ist die Bluray trotz Originalverpackung leicht zerkratzt angekommen und hat schwere Lesefehler (trotz hochwertigem Panasonic-Player). Deshalb die Empfehlung, nicht den Fehler wie ich zu machen und erst spät kontrollieren, sondern besser direkt nach Erhalt, um Reklamation zu ermöglichen. Mein Exemplar ist leider ein Fall für die Entsorgung.

Austausch-Bluray ist perfekt!

Ergänzung:

JPC hat mir nach gut 3 1/2 Wochen die Bluray anstandslos umgetauscht – damit habe ich nicht gerechnet, ich dachte, die Rückgabefrist sei vorbei.

Das neue Exemplar ist einwandfrei und ich würde in der Gesamtwertung jetzt 5 Sterne vergeben! So altes Bild- & Tonmaterial in dieser Qualität aufzubereiten, ist schon etwas Besonderes.

Herzlichen Dank an JPC – das ist ein Top-Kundenservice und nicht selbst erständlich!

Schwere Lesefehler

Bei meiner Bluray, die heute angekommen ist, gibt es dasselbe Problem, nämlich schwere Lesefehler ab etwa 37 Minuten. Ich muss also die Bluray leider reklamieren und hoffe sehr, dass dann das gewünschte Ersatzexemplar einwandfrei ist und es sich nicht um einen Serienfehler handelt.

Perfekte Problemlösung von jpc

Leider hatte die LP 2 mal jeweils bei Seite A/B einen starken Höhenschlag. Ich musste die beiden Platten zurücksenden und jpc hat mir eine 3. Platte mit einer vorherigen Prüfung geschickt. Die 3. Platte war dann einwandfrei. Das nenne ich einen perfekten Kundenservice. Besser geht es nicht. Probleme können seitens des Herstellers mit der Pressqualität immer wieder mal auftreten, aber diese Kulanz und schnelle Ersatzlieferung seitens jpc ist schon perfekt und keinesfalls Standart. 5 Sterne dafür! Die Aufnahme ist außergewöhnlich gut und für jeden Pink Floyd Fan und Sammler ein Muss!

Nicht ganz ohne Ärger

Nach dem entsetzlichen Guthrie-Remix von Animals (Andy Jacksons Early Years Box Remix von Obscured by Clouds und Meddle waren auch schon keine Offenbarungen, und der Pompeii Mix war richtig mies) war ich extrem erleichtert zu lesen, dass Steven Wilson Pompeii für das Standalone Release gemacht hat. Und was soll ich sagen? He did it again. Man hört durchaus auch andere Meinungen - ich finde den Mix perfekt!
Die Performance auf den Pompeii-Tracks ist ohnehin erhaben - mit einer gekürzten '71er Setlist (Cymbaline und Atom Heart Mother fehlen hier) liefern sie mit das Beste ab, was 1971 bei Pink Floyd zu bekommen war. Allerdings sind es eben auch sehr kompakte Versionen.
Aber warum zum Teufel müssen diese Platten heute immer irgendeinen Fehler haben?
Die erste Lieferung habe zurück geschickt, weil sie geknistert hat, als wäre sie wirklich 71 gepresst und seitdem nicht besonders gut behandelt worden.
Die Ersatzlieferung knistert nicht, dafür interferiert ein Dimple (Rillenploppen) mit dem Herzschlag im Intro.
man könnte jetzt denken, dass ich empfindlich sei, aber z. B. bei den Kraftwerk-Neupressungen ist das nicht so. Die sind flawless. Das würde ich mir insbesondere bei Pink Floyd wünschen, die ja immer viel Wert auf Klang gelegt haben.
JPC hat hier übrigens wieder einmal großartig performed!
Lieferung am VÖ-Datum, Reklamation innerhalb einer Woche abgewickelt. Danke! ?
