Blu-Ray DiscThe Blu-Ray was developed as a high-definition successor to the DVD and offers a significantly increased data rate and storage capacity compared to its predecessor. Blu-Rays can therefore store movies with significantly better resolution and offer enormously high picture quality on corresponding screens. Blu-Ray players are usually backward compatible with DVDs, so that they can also be played.

Bereits Ende letzten Jahres warfen Pink Floyd mit ihrer gigantischen »The Early Years«-Box einen Blick zurück auf ihre Anfangsjahre. 2017 präsentieren die Rocklegenden jetzt eine Reihe von sechs Einzelboxen, die die verschiedenen Zeitabschnitte gesondert betrachten.
Den Anfang macht »Cambridge St / ation«. Die Zusammenstellung umfasst die Jahre 1965 bis 1967 und deckt damit die Zeit der Band mit Syd Barrett ab. Von den Demos vor der EMI-Zeit über die Non-Album Hitsingles und Tracks, die damit in Beziehung stehen, enthält diese erste Einheit bisher unveröffentlichte Songs wie »Vegetable Man« und »In The Beechwoods« (im neuen Mix) sowie Aufnahmen aus den BBC-Sessions. Pink Floyd haben zudem die Tapes eines unveröffentlichten Konzertes in Stockholm im Jahr 1967 erworben.
