Ein denkwürdiges Konzert
Mit »The Concert In Hyde Park« veröffentlicht Paul Simon 2017 endlich den Mitschnitt seines Konzertes auf dem Londoner »Hard Rock Calling«-Festival aus dem Jahr 2012, und zwar in Bild und Ton.An diesem Abend spielte die Singer-Songwriter- und Folklegende ein karriereumspannendes Set, darunter Klassiker wie »Kodachrome«, »Mother And Child Reunion«, »Graceland«, »The Sound Of Silence«, »The Boxer« und viele mehr.
Als musikalische Gäste standen neben Simon auch die jamaikanische Reggaelegende Jimmy Cliff, Countrystar Jerry Douglas sowie die südafrikanische Sängerin Thandiswa Mazwai und die südafrikanische A-cappella-Gruppe Ladysmith Black Mambazo, die bereits am legendären »Graceland«-Album mitwirkte, auf der Bühne.
Eine denkwürdige Performance, die einige Überraschungen bereithielt. »The Concert In Hyde Park« heißen der neue Konzertfilm und das neue Livealbum von Paul Simon.
