Ein schnörkelloses Album
Stoner-Fans aufgepasst: Die britischen Rockikonen Orange Goblin melden sich 2018 mit einem brandneuen Album zurück. »The Wolf Bites Back« heißt ihre mittlerweile neunte Platte, der Nachfolger von »Back From The Abyss« (2014).
Und bereits das Cover aus der Feder von Roland Scriver verspricht ein dunkles und bedrohliches Gesamtwerk.
Zehn neue Songs haben Ben Ward (Gesang), Joe Hoare (Gitarre), Martyn Millard (Bass) und Chris Turner (Schlagzeug) für »The Wolf Bites Back« in den vergangenen Monaten in den Orgone Studios aufgenommen.
Unterstützt wurden sie dort von Produzent Jaime Gomez Arellano (Ghost, Cathedral) und von keinem Geringeren als Motörheads Phil Campbell, der einen Gastbeitrag beisteuerte.
Das Ergebnis ist schnörkelloser Hardrock und Stonermetal, so, wie wir es von Orange Goblin kennen und lieben.
