Das Debütalbum der Amsterdamer Band Nusantara Beat ist eine elektrisierende Hommage an die musikalische Vielfalt Indonesiens - neu gedacht für ein globales Publikum. Die sechsköpfige Band, bestehend aus Musikern mit indonesischen Wurzeln (u. a. aus Jungle by Night, Altin Gün, EUT), verbindet traditionelle indonesische Melodien mit psychedelischem Rock, Funk, Surf-Gitarren und modernen Grooves.
»Nusantara Beat« ist ein Album voller Energie, das klassische Stücke wie »Sifat Manusia« oder »Mang Becak« neu interpretiert und mit eigenen Kompositionen kombiniert.
