Der US-amerikanische Rapper, Sänger, Songwriter und Produzent nothing, nowhere. wurde von Punk-Größe Pete Wentz (u. a. Bassist der Band Fall Out Boy) entdeckt. Das Debütalbum "Reaper" wurde von der New York Times dann auch folgerichtig "eines der vielversprechendsten Alben des Jahres" bezeichnet. Auch das Nachfolgealbum "Ruiner" war im Genre Emo-Rap / Trap / Indie Rock angesiedelt und hat seine Fans gefunden.
Nun wurde das neue Album "Trauma Factory" angekündigt: "I don't need a fake friend", stellt nothing,nowhere in dem neuesen Song "fake friend" fest, der mit seiner charakteristisch breiten musikalischen Mischung aus Alternative, Pop, Rap und Punk überzeugt. Über den Verlauf von 15 Tracks zeichnet Joe Mulherin - wie der Künstler aus dem amerikanischen Bundesstaat Vermont mit bürgerlichem Namen heißt - eindringliche Porträts seiner seelischen Schmerzen.
"Trauma Factory is an accumulation of songs written during a confusing time", kommentiert er. "It is about accepting the present and following your true north through the pain and suffering of human life. I wanted to make an album that was truly genreless and inspire others to challenge themselves artistically. I believe the most inspiring art is unpredictable and unrestrictive. To me that's what Trauma Factory is."
