Nils Lofgren ist ein US-amerikanischer Rockmusiker, Tontechniker, Songschreiber und Multiinstrumentalist. Neben seiner Arbeit als Solokünstler ist er seit 1984 Mitglied der E Street Band von Bruce Springsteen, einem früheren Mitglied von Crazy Horse. Er nutzte die Neil Young-Album-Credits, um seiner Band Grin 1971 einen Plattenvertrag zu verschaffen. Die Band veröffentlichte vier Alben, bevor sie sich 1974 auflöste. Die ersten drei sind hier auf einem 2-CD-Set zu hören.
