The SACD uses a higher digital resolution than the audio CD and also offers the possibility to store multi-channel sound (surround sound). To enjoy the music in high-end quality, a special SACD player is required. Thanks to the hybrid function, most of the products marked "SACD" in our store can also be played on conventional CD players. In this case, however, the sound does not differ from that of a normal CD. In case of deviations, we point this out separately (non-hybrid).

Die englische Glam-Rock-Band Mott the Hoople, benannt nach einer Figur aus einem Roman von Willard Manus, veröffentlichte 1970 ihr Debütalbum auf Island Records. Als Live-Band war sie eine lokale Größe, doch nach drei weiteren Alben blieb der Erfolg in Form von Radio-Einsätzen und Plattenverkäufen noch immer aus.
Der charismatische Frontman Ian Hunter trug sich mit dem Gedanken, das Projekt zu beenden. Die neue Plattenfirma CBS und vor allem ein Song von David Bowie (»All the Young Dudes«), der die Band unterstützen wollte, änderten alles.
