Michael Schenker und seine Mission
Im Rahmen ihrer Welttournee 2015/2016 machten Michael Schenker und seine Band »Temple Of Rock« am 19. November 2015 Station in Madrid. Dort lieferten sie ein fulminantes Konzert ab. Mit »Michael Schenker: On A Mission – Live In Madrid« gibt es jetzt den Mitschnitt dieses denkwürdigen Auftrittes, und zwar in Bild und Ton.
Als passende Location für die Aufzeichnung diente das einstige Theater Joy Eslava. An der Seite des Rockgitarristen und Bruders von Scorpions-Chef Rudolf Schenker standen an diesem Abend ein paar alte Bekannte Schenkers: Sänger Doogie White, Gitarrist und Keyboarder Wayne Findlay, Bassist Francis Buchholz sowie Schlagzeuger Herman Rarebell.
Gemeinsam performten sie ein Best-of aus dem riesigen Repertoire von Michael Schenker. Mit dabei waren Lieder vom 2015er-Album »Spirit On A Mission«, das die Band auf ihrer Tournee vorstellte, darunter »Live And Let Live«, »Vigilante Man« und »Saviour Machine«. Außerdem gab der Gitarrenvirtuose einige Klassiker zum Besten, z. B. die UFO-Songs »Doctor Doctor« und »Too Hot To Handle« und den Scorpions-Hit »Rock You Like A Hurricane«.
Ganze 23 Songs spielte die Band bei ihrem Gig in Madrid inklusive Intro und Outro.
Michael Schenker und seine Band haben eine Mission: die Welt mit ihrem unvergleichlichen Rock zu begeistern. Wie gut das funktioniert, haben sie im letzten Jahr unter anderem in Madrid gezeigt. »Michael Schenker: On A Mission – Live In Madrid« heißt der Beweis.
