2012 veröffentlichte er mehrere Soloalben und tourte mit seiner eigenen Band durch Europa und die USA. Martins Live-Auftritte waren vielfältig: Er spielte sowohl als Akustik-Trio mit Dan Crisp (Gesang, Gitarre) und Alan Thomson (Bass, Gitarre) als auch mit einer E-Band, bei der Terl Bryant am Schlagzeug mitwirkte. Beide Formationen wurden von Fans und Kritikern gleichermaßen gelobt.
Das neue Album enthält einen großartigen Auftritt von Martins Akustikband, aufgenommen am 19. April 2025 im Center for the Arts in Homer, New York, sowie ein fantastisches Set seiner E-Band vom Woodstock Forever Festival in Deutschland im August 2024.
