Professionell gefilmt und aufgenommen vor einem ausverkauften Publikum im historischen Beacon Theatre in New York City am 6. November 2019: Das Konzertalbum »Summer Of Sorcery Live! At The Beacon Theatre«, fängt Little Steven, alias Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Stevie Van Zandt, gekonnt ein, wie er mit seiner Band, den Disciples of Soul, das Haus zum Beben bringt, während sie ihr gefeiertes 2019er-Album »Summer Of Sorcery« präsentieren: eine 12-Track-Platte über den ersten Rausch des Sommers und das elektrische Gefühl der unbegrenzten Möglichkeiten.
Die Blu-ray zeigt das gesamte Konzert in HD-Video, wobei der Ton sowohl in Stereo als auch in 5.1-Surround-Sound angeboten wird, um das bestmögliche Erlebnis zu bieten, bei der Rock 'n' Soul-Revue dabei zu sein. Das Livealbum, das von Bob Clearmountain gemischt und von Bob Ludwig gemastert wurde, beides langjährige Mitarbeiter von Van Zandt, enthält mitreißende Darbietungen aller Songs von »Summer of Sorcery« neben Titeln aus Van Zandts Solokarriere, Songs, die er für Southside Johnny und die Asbury Jukes geschrieben hat, und einigen ausgefeilten Covers.
»Summer Of Sorcery Live! At The Beacon Theatre« wird abgerundet durch fast eine Stunde zusätzlicher Livemusik mit sieben bisher unveröffentlichten Bonus-Auftritten, die in den Jahren 2017–2019 aufgenommen wurden, darunter mit Superstar-Spezialgästen wie den australischen Musiklegenden Jimmy Barnes und Peter Garrett, dem langjährigen Freund und E Street Band-Bandkollegen Nils Lofgren und dem legendären Nick Gravenites, der sich Van Zandt für eine spektakuläre Interpretation von »Groovin' Is Easy« von Electric Flag anschließt. Außerdem kehrt Peter Wolf für ein explosives Cover des The Showstoppers-Hits »(Ain't Nothin' But A) Houseparty« zurück, das während der Soulfire Tour aufgenommen wurde, aber laut Van Zandt »zu gut war, um es im Regal liegen zu lassen«. Die Feierlichkeiten kommen zu einem mitreißenden Abschluss mit einer Star-besetzten Version von »Sun City«, die Auftritte mit Jimmy Barnes, Jake Clemons, Sam Fender, Peter Garrett, Courtney Hadwin, Garland Jeffreys und Bruce Springsteen zusammenfasst.
