Der Franzose Aurélien Marie war in den späten 90er Jahren bekannt als Frontmann der Alternative Rock Band Rhesus. Nachdem diese sich auflösten, nahm Aurelien ein Album auf, in das er sein gesamtes Vermögen steckte. »Rose« ist ein Pop Noir Meisterstück, das eine nächtliche Romantik im Geiste von dEUS oder Serge Gainsbourg versprüht. Leider kam es damals nicht zur Veröffentlichung. Im Jahr 2019, 6 Jahre nachdem die Aufnahmen entstanden – ist das Album nicht weniger aktuell und über Snowstar Records endlich veröffentlicht.
